Bow Fishing for Gar - Information & Guidelines
Due to the proximity of our lakes to the Meramec River and the occasional flooding, we’ve noticed a growing population of Gar in our waters. While these fish are often considered a nuisance, we offer an opportunity for local anglers to help manage their numbers through bow fishing.
Why Bow Fishing for Gar?
-
Gar can disrupt local ecosystems, and their overpopulation may impact other fish species.

Bow fishing helps control the Gar population while providing an exciting and challenging sport for anglers.
