FAQ's
Do you have a shower house?
Yes. We have a shower and bath house located at the side of the camp store and porta potties located around the resort. Showers are coin operated.
Do you require deposits for camping?
We do require a 50% deposit per campsite at the time of booking.
How far in advance should I make camping reservations?
Reservations are highly recommended. Camping reservations should be made 2 weeks to 2 months in advance. At peak season you will want to reserve as soon as possible as weekends fill up quickly. Last minute reservations can be made depending on availability.
How late can we arrive for check in?
Memorial Day thru Labor Day weekend the office is open until 9pm on Friday and Saturday nights. Weekdays until 5pm. If you come after closing, proceed to your campsite. Come to the office the next morning to settle up.
What is your cancellation policy?
We have a 10 day cancellation policy. As long as you cancel 10 days prior you will get your deposit back minus a $25 service charge. Any cancellations or changes made less that 10 days of your arrival date will result in the full amount being forfeited.
What types of fish are in the streams and lakes?
The river has Small and Large Mouth Bass, Goggle Eye, Blue Gill, Crappie, Suckers and Sunfish. Our lakes have Large mouth Bass, Crappie, Bluegill and Catfish.
Where do I put my trash?
Dumpsters are located in a few spots around the resort. If you leave trash at your campsite you will be charged a $25 cleaning fee.
Do you have quiet hours in the resort?
Yes we have strictly enforced quiet hours. Quiet hours start at 11pm and last till 7am. All radios must be turned off during this time.
Do you have an adult or late night camping area?
No we don't, we are a family campground. If you're looking for a place to party hard this isn't it. We don't mind guests drinking but when quiet time starts we ask that you respect your neighbors and keep noise to a minimum.
Can I bring my UTV or a golf cart?
Yes, we do allow UTV's and golf carts on the property for a fee of $25 per vehicle per stay. Speed limit of 5 MPH must be followed in camping areas and not over 10 MPH anywhere on the property. Four wheelers and dirt bikes are NOT allowed.
Do you have any cabins?
Yes, we currently have two cabins for rental. We have one mobile home and one large house onsite. Visit our LODGING page for more info and pricing.
Is swimming allowed in the lakes?
Swimming is allowed in our large lake only.
Can I bring my pet?
Yes, we welcome pets in the camping areas and on floats. Pets under 50 lbs with well trimmed nails can float in any of our equipment. Larger pets can only float in canoes or kayaks. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times on the campground. Two pet maximum in the Clover house for an extra fee.
Can I have visitors drop by my campsite?
Yes they can. However they will need to register their vehicle and purchase a day pass to enter the campground.
When do you open for the season?
We are open year round for camping and floating. Water at RV sites may not be available during the winter months.
Do you have a campground store?
Yes, our store is on site and has all the basics such as firewood, ice, snacks, ice cream, soft drinks as well as floating & camping supplies.
Do you sell alcohol in your store?
No, we do not sell alcohol at our camp store. There is a delivery service nearby that will deliver alcohol to your campsite for a fee. Ask our staff for more info. Please drink responsibly.
is there a dump station located on the grounds?
Yes. You will find the dump station near the front of the resort labeled for your convenience.
Whats with the purple paint on trees along the river?
Purple paint stands for No Trespassing, meaning that it is marking private property. Violators can be prosecuted. Trespassing fines start at $169 per incident.
When do we need to end our float?
Floaters need to be at our takeout by 7pm. There is a $50 service charge per hour per craft for arrivals after 7pm unless other arrangements are made ahead of time.
What if we damage or abandon our watercraft?
We expect normal wear on floating equipment. Any damages from intentional abuse will be a minimum $150.00 fine. If you abandon or lose any watercraft or equipment you are responsible for paying for it.
Can I bring my own firewood?
Local customers (Steelville/Cuba area) are welcome to bring their own. The Missouri department of conservation recommends not moving firewood more than 50 miles from where it was harvested to prevent the spread of insects that damage trees.

Will I have cell service at the resort?
It depends on your provider. T-mobile phones have excellent service. All other providers will have limited service. We do have free Wi-Fi available to most of the camping area and at the store.
